Our tours are fashioned after the tours in places like Gettysburg and New Orleans. Why just read about history when you can follow in the same footsteps where history took place? Each tour is blended with bits of human interest and historical fact, making them entertaining and educational for all ages.
The tour is approximately two hours. The route covers 6-7 blocks in and around the Historic District of Old Town Temecula. The starting point of the tour is the bicycle rack area next to the public restrooms on 6th Street, the address is 41952 6th Street. Walkways are on public sidewalks and parking lots. Free parking is located in various locations in Old Town including the Old Town Garage next to City Hall on Main Street and the public parking lot on Mercedes Street & 6th Street across from Fire Department Station #12 (next to the tour starting point). A small flashlight is recommended.
The tour is approximately two hours. The tour route covers the 4 acres of the historic Vail Headquarters. The starting point of the tour is the Vail Stage located at the front of the property next to the water tower. Walkways are made of a dirt aggregate, some dust can be expected. Vail Headquarters is located at 32115 Temecula Parkway (next to Kohl's). Free shopping center parking is available in front of the property. Previous guests have described the site as a "mini Old Town San Diego".
Both tours are outdoor walking tours, public restrooms are very limited. Please check weather conditions prior to arriving, nights can be cool.
Parking in Old Town Temecula may take time especially on weekends. The free parking garage next to City Hall may be a good choice as the tour ends at the intersection of Old Town Front Street and Main Street.
Wear comfortable walking shoes. Sandals and open toe shoes are not recommended. Routes are well lit, a small flashlight is recommended.
Photography is welcome. Video and audio recording of the tour is not allowed.
Children must be under adult supervision at all times.

In general, you do not need to wear a mask in outdoor settings. In areas with high numbers of COVID-19 cases, consider wearing a mask in crowded outdoor settings and for activities with close contact with others who are not fully vaccinated. Individuals should follow social distancing and mask recommendations per CDC guidelines.
Do not attend a tour if you do not feel well, have a fever, or have come in contact with someone that is COVID-19 positive in the past 10 days.
