Why just read about history when you can experience it? Each tour is blended with historical facts and ghostly tales, making them entertaining for all ages. Historical photographs provide a unique look into the past. Tours are lead by a historian and investigator who has been a resident of Temecula since 1991.
The tour is approximately 1 ½ - 2 hours in duration. The route covers approximately 6 blocks in and around the Historic District of Old Town Temecula. The tour begins at the planter benches located outside Silver Fever, the address is 28475 Old Town Front Street. Walkways are on public sidewalks and parking lots. Free parking is located in various locations in Old Town including the Old Town Garage next to City Hall on Main Street. Note: You may receive a different tour starting point in Old Town when your tour is confirmed.
The tour is approximately 1 ½ hours in duration. The tour route covers the 4 acres of the historic Vail Headquarters. The tour begins at the Vail Stage located at the front of the property next to the water tower. Walkways are made of a dirt aggregate, some dust can be expected. Vail Headquarters is located at 32115 Temecula Parkway (next to Kohl's). Free shopping center parking is available in front of the property. Previous guests have described the site as a "mini Old Town San Diego".
Is this a real ghost tour? Absolutely! While there is no guarantee of having a ghostly experience guests have felt unusual cold spots, been touched, heard faint voices, seen unexplained shadows and captured pictures of mysterious orbs. Ghost hunting tools include EMF detectors providing a unique experience during the tour. Each tour is lead by an experienced investigator with a unique knowledge of Temecula. As a long time member of the community, your guide has access to historic sites other tours don't have.
Are private tours available? Cetainly! Since 2008 I have been giving tours to organizations such as the City of Temecula, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Clubs, corportate teams, birthday parties, anniversaries, bachelorette parties, family gatherings and more. There is no extra charge for a private party, groups of more than 10 guests can receive a discount.
Are the tours family-friendly and dog-friendly? The Ghost Tour is suitable for children, there are no shock or scare moments. Since my tours are not scripted like other tours, I am able to accomodate children of all ages. My goal is to provide a fun family experience that everyone will remember. Dogs are allowed if they are on a 6' leash and well behaved.
Are discounts available? Discounts are available for group tours of 10 guests or more. I am a small business that is locally owned, I am able to offer prices that other tours can't. I have specials that are available certain times of the year that can be found on the TOUR PRICE page. In addition, if you attend either the Old Town Temecula Tour or Vail Headquarters Tour, you will receive a discount card for the other tour.
What makes the tours unique? Old Temecula Walking Tours was founded in 2008, it is the original. The tours are based on many years of research from historical newspapers, interviews of those who have had ghostly experiences and my own personal experiences as an investigator. I have special access to historic sites such as the Palomar Inn Hotel that no other tours have. I share historic photographs of Old Town Temecula and Temecula Valley along with documented evidence of ghostly activity including EVP recordings (electronic voice phenomena also known as spirit voices). Most of what is told on other tours has originated from my tour and personal experiences.
Visit the other pages for specific information on the various tours that are offered.

"We took the history and ghost tour not knowing what to expect. Dale's knowledge of the local history was extensive. More importantly what he shares regarding the local spiritual happenings really had us scratching our heads. If you are into ghosts, then this tour is for you."
